A DEAL for the Iraqi constitution is reached between the Shiites and Kurds, who backed it, and the Sunnis, who fervently opposed it (with more political posturing than modern-day Cassandras who saw doom in every negotiation gimmick would like to admit). This is excellent news; now the Sunnis not only will tell their people to go out and vote next Saturday, but they'll be campaigning for a yes vote.
