THIS CHART of the comparative cost of the financial rescue package will take your breath away. And not in a good way.

UPDATE. My mistake (I'll repeat 100 times: I won't write a quick post in haste again...). It's not the cost of the financial rescue package, but the estimated cost of the financial crisis. The fact that the amount is about 80% of US's GDP should have jumped out to me, but it didn't. Sorry about that.
